Youtube Video using in VFAcademy

Youtube is a great and the most used platform for video hosting.
The Youtube channel owner have always the control of their own uploaded videos, but this can cause problems for third party sites which using the videos
embedded in their websites.

Unfortunately, this make problems for the website provider which has embedded the Youtube video on the own site, because the video owner which has
hosted the video on Youtube can always delete the video or set it as private.
The embedded video on the website will be useless.
Because copyright and law restrictions, its not allowed to download videos from youtube and host it on the own Youtube channel, just to keep the videos running on the own
website, if the embedded videos from the foreign Youtube account owner get deleted.

To keep everything clear with law and copyright, its necessary to contact the Youtube channel owner who has hosted the video on its channel.
Because its necessary to get a official permission from the Youtube channel owner, that the AVF can use the Video on the own AVF Youtube Channel or download it and use
it for a later time.

To keep the process as short as possible, you can follow this instructions and use the message template to send the Video owner a request.

Mail/Message Template

Use this message template for contacting the Youtube channel owner:

Dear youtube channel owner,

My name is [YOUR_NAME], I’m a team member of the Association for Vertical Farming (AVF) and I work in the AVF Education Project Group.

In regards to the AVF’s current Education Project, we are looking for videos and informational content for the website.
We found your video and would like to use the following videos:

[NAME_OF_THE_VIDEO] – [VIDEO_LINK]

….

Due to the copyright and law restrictions, we are asking if you could please send us permission in writing so that we can use your video(s).

We have recognized that many of the videos we chose about different farming topics, got deleted, set private or the youtube channel got removed.
In order to avoid this case and permanently keep the content on the website ready for our customers, we are asking your permission to download the videos
on the AVF server to use it as backup, if you should remove your videos in any case.
The videos we would use as backup on our AVF Youtube channel would mention you as the official creator / owner of the video

We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Please contact me, [YOUR_NAME], on our project team mailinglist avfedu-mailinglist@googlegroups.com, so we can clarify it and proceed the necessary steps to integrate your video on our website.

Kind regards,

[YOUR_NAME]
